I found a computer!
Howdy howdy everyone, I found a computer...yay! Thank goodness for public libraries and free internet access.
I am up here in Arlington finishing up my first week of training. It's been fun, kinda boring, but when has training been mentally stimulating? :) Monday was orientation, the "Welcome to Arlington, let's go over your benefits and learn the computer system" day. Tuesday was going over the computer systems that I'll be using from time to time at the PD, Wednesday was a fun day of observation...got to sit in the Records department (WAY too many papers and things to file, meh!) the jail (that was fun) and got to sit in with the 911 operators and listen to what they listen to. Thankfully there were no true emergencies that my operators got...did hear some of the others trying to calm people down, was pretty happy I wasn't listening to what they were listening to. Was a reason I didn't want to go into 911. :) Yesterday was more learning computer systems, and today we're going to attempt to put together all we've learned and do scenario training. Tried it last night and I pretty much bombed it. hehehe Try again today. Everyone at my new job is really nice and I look forward to working with them.
Not much else going on around here, I'm staying with D and see him from time to time, our schedules are rather different so I talk to him before he leaves for work and I might talk to him a little after I get home from work. Kinda like living with Sparky when she was on nights and I was on days, we'd communicate via dry-erase board. hehehe
In the final stages of getting a new apartment set up, real excited about that, I miss Shadow! hehe Should be moving in on the 1st and should be able to make the trek back to pick him up from M&D's the following week. He might still be willing to talk to me, I'm not sure....also wondering if M&D would be willing to give him up, they love him. May have to sneak him out under the cover of night. :)
I'd best be off to answer emails...not sure when I'll next have internet access, but I'll find a way. hehehe

Yeah, you mom's not gonna give up the Shadow. You know this. I'll start drawing up plans for a rescue mission.
hehehe... you can sneak him out... i'll help!!
Just remind her how much fur is in her quilting stuff and what happened to her knitting, and she'll let go... lol
Why don't you see if they'll trade for Donut?
He he he..
trade for Donut....I'm thinking that the scars received while putting the little demon spawn in a cat carrier would not be worth the effort.
